Martin Kelly Gutierrez, 49, lifelong resident of Las Cruces passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Martin was born May 24, 1967. He is survived by Susan, his devoted and loving wife of 22 years who cared for him during his valiant battle with brain cancer.
Martin dedicated his life's work to the business he owned and managed. His formal title would be that of General Contractor but to all that knew him know that there was nothing he couldn't do. When Martin wasn't working he was enjoying the outdoors, whether it was hunting, camping or fishing, he found joy and peace being one with nature. He was an avid dirt track racer, enjoyed building engines and loved watching his kids run the track as well.
Martin had a beautiful singing voice. You could always hear him singing, on the job site, in the car, and with the kids in the family room on the karaoke machine. Martin was a presence and had a smile for everyone. He was known for his smile, raucous humor, and vibrant personality. Martin will be missed dearly.
Martin is survived by his children Erica, Erin, Martin Jr., Tracey, Kristina, and Stevie his parents, Reymundo and Paula Sierra Gutierrez; his brothers, Reymundo, Chris, Ralph; and a sister, Catherine; his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Martin Anthony, Benjamin, Dominik, Ashlyn, Christian, and Weston Kelly.

Not sure what to say?

The world lost a great guy! It's been so long since I've heard from Martine and Susan. I thought I would look them up and say hello, and then this popped up. I am in total shock right now. Martine was a great mentor and a great friend! Till we meet again Brother

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through the wonderful memories he left he will live on. We will never forget his kindness. May God give him eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain.
God Bless you all.
With Love,
Steve and Annette Barela

RIP Martin, I remember we would always hang out and do crazy things in the old neighborhood. That was a fun time for us growing up. You will be missed.
