Not sure what to say?

Sad to have stumbled upon Marty´s passing. Marty and I were friends in 65-66-67. I lived up the street from him on Vista Place. We rode bikes together, raced slot cars, skateboarded and pretended to be musicians in his bedroom. He had a drum set and I pretended to play a guitar. In 68 we moved to Eugene and that ended the aforementioned story. There is more to this 3 year friendship than written, like when he pushed me into the backyard pool. Rest peacefully and I will see you on the other...

I met Marty in Portland, the summer of 63-64? My father, Irv, and his mother were friends and I stayed with the Haydens for a little while. I am from Salt Lake City. Marty's oldest sister got married while I was there.
I am sad for his loss. Kathi, if you see this will you look me up on FB? I would very much like to talk to you.

Wow. Just seeing this. I knew Marty back in 75. We all hung out. Hello Paul White! Anyway I was best friends with Lori. I was Calvin's girlfriend. Paramount Days. I am so sad. I wanted to blast from the past him. And he's gone. Wow. He will be chosen for HEAVEN. Great man. Great heart. My condolences.

My heartfelt sympathies to you. I got to know Martin as I helped him with his insurance and we were in somewhat regular contact about insurance and life. I am in shock and saddened to hear of his passing. RIP Marty. You are missed by many.

All of the extended family in Salt Lake send our condolences to Marty's Portland family. We are so sorry. (Sue Anderson, daughter of Morris Hayden)

Marty...where do you begin? I met Marty in 1977.He was Always a loving, caring man. We had so many great times. Jobs come and go, hearts break, careers end, time passes, life happens, distance separates. The incredible joys and sorrows. I got the news this morning and can't help but remember so much of everything about Marty. Peace to the family....he is resting and happy now.

We in Salt Lake remember lots of fun time with Marty, during vacations in Salt Lake or when we visited Portland. He was always kind to me. He was always thinking about how to improve his surroundings and situation.
I know he had struggles over the last several years. We will miss him. Love from all of us in Salt Lake! Lynn

Kathi and all,
I know that this a difficult and sad time for all of you who loved your Brother and your Uncle. Thinking of you all as you honor Martin's memory.
