Marty made your day better. Just seeing him, talking to him, chatting him up at the barber shop--you always felt a little bit better for having shared a few moments with such a kind, cheerful, interested, and interesting person. Mr Hickey was the family barber back in the days of the Tower Barber Shop. I was just a teenager but Mr Hickey was always easy to talk to and always interested in what was going in my life. It looks like he lived a full and interesting life. My sympathy to his family.
