Not sure what to say?

Where do I even begin to cover all of the wonderful memories over the years with the Hicks Family?! I love the day that Richard and I ran into you at the Closter Nature Center; we pulled in...and you pulled in right next to us...how lucky were we?! I am thinking about "The Dash Poem" by Linda Ellis...Mr. Hicks, you certainly lived your "dash"! Please say hello for me to MRS. Hicks... My thoughts and prayers go out to Barbara and Kathe and their Families at this time...

We will always have fond memories and the deepest respect for Martin Hicks. He truly touched many lives in Closter and beyond. Anyone who knew him, even just a little, could not but smile when remembering his wave and his smile. He will be missed. Our sympathy to you who now mourn his loss.

Martin is a man who touched the lives & hearts of so many people-his love of the Belskie Museum and Closter Nature Center and their staff & volunteers-his incredible mind that never stopped learning, researching and passing on that knowledge-his ever present hat-truly one of the most loved and respected man there ever was.
We all will miss this great human being.

Martin by Kupperman

Martin will be missed by all! It was a pleasure having met such a fine human being. He had enriched each of us who knew him.

I've attached a painting of Martin done by Dr. Jin Kupperman.

Martin will be missed by all! It was a pleasure having met such a fine human being. He had enriched each of us who knew him.

I will continue to hear Martin's voice in all its richness, full of sage advice and humorous commentary. Thankful to have crossed paths with him.
