I have had the great privilege of knowing Marty for nearly 50 years. Marty was a hard worker, accomplished sportsman, founding member of the Idaho Falls Nordic Ski Patrol (1976) , dedicated conservationist, enthusiastic story teller, and winter recreation columnist for the Post Register. Marty was a cherished friend to many. I joined the ski patrol in 1978 and took candidate training from Marty. What a hoot! The classroom and field training was fun, informative and interactive with...

Marty Huebner was long a distinguished member of the National Ski Patrol, and served as National alumni advisor from about 2013 to 2018. I was privileged to succeed Marty as National advisor in 2018, and he went out of his way to be helpful in the transition, attending our face-to-face meeting with our national alumni advisors, and remaining a part of the monthly alumni advisor meetings for about a year after handing off the lead to me. His knowledge of the ins and outs of the National Ski...

I´ve known Marty for almost 62 years. He was a close family friend and my family skied together with the Huebners for years. He will be missed. My heart felt condolences to the whole family.

I met Marty about 10 years ago, when he was the National Alumni program advisor for the National Ski Patrol, representing more than 4000 ski patrol alumni across the United States. Along the way Marty was hugely helpful to me in switching the program leadership over, attending a face-to-face meeting at Snowbird Resort in Utah with his, and now my, divisional alumni program advisers. He...

I met Marty when we first moved to Idaho. We went on a cross country skiing day trip with Idaho Mountain Trading to Herriman State Park. Marty was my instructor and the first thing he did was take my poles away He explained that the poles were just for stability not whatever I was doing loved him so much, rest in peace.

I met Marty at several Nordic Ski Club Meetings and I was fortunate to X-C ski with him years ago on the ski trails North of the Kelly Canyon "Y". My friend Patty and I met Marty and his wife Patty at Poppa Tom's Pizza in Idaho Falls. He was sitting in their pickup truck while his wife went in to get the pizza. I shook his hand, we visited, I introduced my friend Patty to Marty, she reached to shake his hand and he (like a real gentleman) kissed her hand. We were both really impressed with...
