On behalf of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, the Order offers its deepest condolences and is proud of a life well lived by Colonel Lane. Sherry Crose, Executive Director Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels

My sincere condolences to Marty's family. He was a class act and one of the few people referred to as a true gentleman. The world was a better place because of him.

who was Marty? I wasn't really his friend, I didn't know him for a long time, I never knew what his business was, nor his friends, I think I don't know his whole family either, he for me is a blessing that God put in my way, at the time that God wanted and I am very grateful for that. But I can say that one of his greatest qualities he showed was his empathy for the next, his kindness and his generocity. Rest in peace and Thank you for everything. My sincerest condolences.

Marty was a great mentor! He took such great interest in the success of others and encouraged you to do more, learn more, grow more, all the while keeping an eye towards your faith, family and helping others. We are so blessed to have known Marty for some many years and to have seen him and Sheri in the Keys last May. Sending prayers for peace and strength in the weeks to come to Marty and Sheri's families. God Bless you always.
