Not sure what to say?

It seems like it was just yesterday that you saw me drunk out of mind walking down Smithfield Rd. You stopped and chatted with me and explained to me a new way of living. I sunk in with me even though I had to beat myself up more before I gave up. My eternal thanks to you for the doors you opened for me... Rest well my friend I am still hanging in there one day at a time. I think of you often

Marty was a great mentor to me when I worked at Sunshine Creamery 35 years ago. I own my own small business and know how hard it is to keep things going. He was one of the people that inspired me to start my business and to focus on the community. Thanks Marty!

Like many other young people in East Providence, Marty gave me my first job at Sunshine Creamery in 2004. He had a tough, vibrant spirit, and was a fighter to the end. He'll definitely be missed.
