Martin "Pete Horn" Long, 74, of the Slate Belt area died July 22, 2015 in his home. He was the husband of Susan E. (Padula) Long, for the past 23 years. Born in Wilson Borough he was the son of the late Paul L. Long & Dorothy A. (Keiper) Horn. He was a retired mechanic for the former Pen Argyl Cycle, and Hilltop Sales and Service. He enjoyed ATV's, four wheeling, and trap shooting. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Dawn Abbott (Bob), Kelly Steinmetz (Dan), Shelly Strunk (Reuben), Karen Kiefer, Kathy Klaver (Ale), Danny, Denny, & Tracy Itterly. A brother Butch Horn (Shirley), and a sister Susan Rice. 11 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 8, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church 1422 Church Rd. (Plainfield Township) Pen Argyl, PA 18072. Call from 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. Arrangements are in the care of the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, Pen Argyl. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Marial Regal Fund, 2571 Baglos Ct B34, Bethlehem PA 18020 or the Lehigh Valley Shriners.

Deepest sympathy to you on the loss of pete.keeping you in our thoughts and prayers ás you go through this difficult time.

So sorry to read of Pete passing knew Pete from when his parents owned Five Points Tavern. Sue you take care. Bob and Barb. Often think of the old times.

Pete was the best Mechanic on my 1983 Yamaha 180 cc scooter. It was old...like us and he could improvise and his joy was fabricating and getting the job done. He was a friend of my brothers and I could always count on him and he was fair. Condolences to families and friends alike. RIP PETE

Pete's Family,

My family knew Pete and his family for well over 50 years. Drag racing out the flats by the old roller rink and hanging out at the Wagon Wheel. He was well liked by all. RIP
