Not sure what to say?

Marty was a great manager and knew how to draw the best out of people and situations. Sorry I just found out about his passing. I think fondly of him and the tireless work he did to accomplish the Las Vegas Beltway, a much needed roadway facility for Las Vegas Valley. I am proud to have worked for him and I love the fact that I can bow my head and recall his grin at the celebration of the "Marty Manning Bridge" over the Beltway. To Marty I say, "Kid, I'll see you in heaven."

I worked with Marty Manning for many years at Clark County. He was not only an incredible public administrator, but brought new and fair ideas to the public works process. I will always remember his great smile and positive attitude in the face of any challenge. May God bless and keep you, Marty.

It was my unbelievable good fortune and an honor to be associated with this kind and talented man of great vision during the period of unprecedented growth in the Las Vegas valley that he directed. Marty will be remembered and missed for generations to come.

Mr. Manning was a great boss: extremely smart, generous, and down-to-earth. He loved to fish and would share his catches with us on occasion. I hope he enjoyed life's beauty before illness took over and may he rest in God's paradise.

My friend. I will miss him and his wisdom, support and laugh. I will never forget the trip back to Nevada with us all after 9-11. His love of his family, Nevada, and the engineering community knew no limits.

What a great man and leader for an amazing period of growth in Las Vegas. So many good memories and a legacy of accomplishments. A life well lived to be sure!! And as Mike said, an unforgettable laugh!!

Every time I pass the bridge the county named for Marty at Town Center Drive and the Beltway I smile and remember a great friend and mentor with the best laugh in the room.

I will always be thankful for Marty's grace and compassion. He was a calm, thoughtful and decisive leader, and a really good man. He made a huge difference in my life.
