Not sure what to say?

Marty was my first LDS boy friend after I joined the church at 15 he was there for me when my father had passed awqy when I was 16 and gave me my first blessing when I became ill 4 mo later after my dads passing he was a great friend to me and my mother and father I was so sad to hear of his passing I know how much he truly loved the Lord

Martin and I interacted mostly in church activities and callings. But we also shared experiences in law enforcement in federal service. To his family, I thank you for adding to my family´s life and memories. Gale Francis

We send our heartfelt prayers heavenward for your dear family. What a privilege it was to rub shoulders with such a great man. It was always a joy to see him at church, in the neighborhood, or even crossing paths through work. What a man. With love, the Francis family.

Oh Janet dear! Ginny let me know about Martin´s passing. What sweet memories of you and Martin. My heart goes out to you full of love. Love Relva

Martin took a course from me at BYU over forty years ago. Even then he knew exactly what he wanted to do: serve as a US Marshal in Salt Lake City. And he did it, admirably, working his way there, as a Sonoma County sheriff deputy (the only law along the Russian River after midnight, he joked), then Sausalito PD, then to the Marshal's office in San Francisco, and finally to SLC. I have never known anyone else who was so determined and yet so good-natured, wise and calm while others...

I am so saddened at this loss. I had the honor to work with Martin in the Salt Lake City Office of the US Marshals Service. He was a hard worker but most of all a true professional. Fair as they get. Martin quietly helped me thru an extremely hard time in my life. His kind acts and non judgmental demeanor certain helped me. My prayers go out to the Monks family. Peace to you.

As one of the Federal Judges that Martin served, I can speak of the goodness of this man. He was a dedicated public servant. He served as a U.S. Marshal as a true professional. I am fortunate to have known him. Ted Stewart

I am so sorry Janet, I really enjoy the time I had taking care of him. You two are a great team, condolences to your whole family too.
