Few have held such a near and dear place in my heart. The world was a better place for having had Martin sitting in. He was a drummer. He was a truck driver. He was a King.

I met Martin through his wife Jan and best friend Byron Tucker when I worked at The Cutting Board as a teenager. I got to hang around him some at home and when he would play his music. He was a great drummer and one of my favorite songs that he would sing was an Oak Ridge Boys tune called Dream On. He had an awesome bass voice. Martin was sort of a second dad to me back then and I thank you for treating me so well and always made me feel welcome. I'm so sorry I didn't get by to visit since...

I don't think there enough space to write all the great times Me & Martin had playing music together & traveling to & from band jobs. We had so much in common interest. I know Martin's Family will miss him. I will also. He was a great Friend to Me & so many others. I'll never forget Him.

He was one of my favorite drivers at Ups. So sorry for your family's loss. No words can ever express the loss of a loved one. May all of you find comfort and peace in all the loving memories you've shared together. Please be comforted in knowing that God understands your grief and he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:6,7)

I had the pleasure of working with Martin years ago at Waccamaw Pottery. One of the best managers ever. He was always fair and never asked you to do something that he wouldn't do himself.
I was very saddened to hear of his passing and I want to express my sincere condolences to his family.
