Martin F. Scahill

I am very saddened to hear of the loss of Martin. I had the privilege to serve with Martin in Iraq (2/11). He used to say the most outlandish things to get me to laugh. Which as anyone far from home knows, laughter is the best medicine. He was a great Marine and an Amazing Man. I send my thoughts and prayers to his family.

Marty, I miss you so much. I think back on all of our fun times like jammin' out to Bon Jovi, teaching you guitar hero, grocery shopping for the many bbqs we had at my house which I will never forget.. I keep your picture in my car as my good luck charm and I tell everyone and I mean everyone about you. I can't wait to see you again at heavens gates.. don't forget the 6 pack. I love you so incredibly much.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Martin. I had the greatest pleasure of sharing combat with Martin in Ramadi, Iraq in 2004. We were part of an elite team called I.C.E. May God Bless you Scahill! Your in my thoughts and prayers! Watch your Six!

My life is better for having known Martin. He had the unfailing ability to brighten any room he entered and scarce are the times I saw him without his signature grin of devilish mischief! My heart goes out to all.
