Not sure what to say?

Dear Schedlers,

I am saddened to hear of Shed's passing and would most certainly have attended his memorial service if it was possible.

I have so many sweet memories of living in the cabin next door to you. Hilda and I would agree that you were the best landlords we ever had...not to mention fun neighbors, too.

I remember Shed as loving his family, his home, his German Shepherds and airplanes. He was one of those lucky people that found the perfect work for himself and...

The epitome of a gentleman, Martin was my boss for 15 years and remained my friend. He was a great raconteur. I even enjoyed listening to his jokes and stories for a second time. He was a fierce competitor whether in the boxing ring, on the handball court, or in a court of law; but he was also cool and calm as he learned to be when training a new pilot who tried to stall out a fighter plane and nearly smashed it and them to the ground. He could be irritatingly demanding, but also patient...

Dear Liz, Ann & John, It's sad to see you've lost your husband & Dad. I have sweet memories when we were neighbors, watching the children grow up, and those wonderful Easter brunches we shared. Hoping you will be comforted with good memories and loving friends. Love, Janet

He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was like a father to me and never hesitated to give advice or support to me over the years.

John, Ann and Liz,
I am so saddened to hear of Mr Schedler's (Martin to me...as he always insisted I call him that instead of Mr Schedler) passing. He was so funny, so generous to us kids and I always enjoyed dinner at the Schedler's...he and Liz always made sure Ann, John and I were fed before going out on the town. My heart is with you all during this difficult time...he was such a special person!! I will try to be there Tuesday if I can get work rescheduled. Love to all of you!

Martin was a great man and good friend I met at Christ Church. He had so much charisma yet was always modest about his many accomplishments. When we discussed current events and sports it was always a highlight of my day. I will miss him!
