Not sure what to say?

I know that months have passed by since your heartbreaking loss, but I wanted you to know that you and your family has not been forgotten. Many years ago I had the pleasure of working with Marty at the 112. There wasn't a day that would go by that he didn't have a smile on his face and always willing to give a helping hand. Judy stay strong and know that even though Marty may not be here physically, he will always be with you spiritually. Lay your head down at night and know that he will...

Dear Judi and boys,
I was so heartbroken to hear of your tragic loss. I read the Newsday article with tears as I imagined your pain. It wasn't until later on that I realized that I knew you. Judi, you were my son Brandon's preschool teacher when he was 3 years old. I just wanted to let you know how deeply saddened we are. Please know that you and your boys will forever be in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mrs. Simmons and Family,

My name is Wendy (Granddaughter of Evelyn ~ I had the pleasure of meeting you all at "Uncle Tommy's" parties). I am so sorry for your loss! It is tragic to lose someone so young. My father was also a Firefighter and we unfortunately lost him way too early 8 years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!!

Dear Judi and Boys; There are no words to fully express how sorry we were to learn of Marty's passing. He was so much help to the Sullivans after 9/11,our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mrs. Simmons & Sons, My deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your husband and father. My family lost my brother last year at only 41, also leaving behind a wife and 3 kids. There are no words that can heal the pain you are feeling. Just take comfort in your family, they are the ones who will carry you through this somehow. And also know that you will be in the prayers of so many as you begin to find your way without your loving husband and Dad. God bless all of you.

TO MRS. SIMMONS & SONS,

I DON'T KNOW YOU BUT MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU AND YOUR
FAMILY. BE ASSURED OF MY CONTINUOUS PRAYERS FOR YOU AND
YOUR FAMILY. TAKE COMFORT THAT
THE LORD IS SUFFERING WITH YOU AND WILL CARRY YOU AND YOUR ENTIRE
FAMILY IN HIS LOVING ARMS.

My deepest sympathy to Marty's family. I am so saddened by his passing...I will keep the entire family in my prayers.

To the Simmons family:
I am a Smithtown Elementary fourth grade teacher and my heart sinks each time I hear of a loss of any parent in our District, let alone such a devoted husband, father, and firefighter as Mr. Simmons was. Please know that all of the teachers in the District are thinking of you and praying for you at such a difficult time. I, personally, am the mother of boys, ages 10 and 2 yrs. I know the special bond that forms between Dads and boys and how you must be hurting at...
