Martin Smith

I first met Martin Smith in the summer of 1977 while interviewing for a social studies position at Heights High School, and I remember the experience like it was yesterday. Over the next ten or 12 years I came to know him well, first as a mentor then towards the end of his tenure as a friend. He led a good long life. My aunt 'Fleda and uncle Don, his parents, were and would have been proud. He is missed.

Our thoughts on the passing of your beloved father and grandfather. He was a kind and wise educator. I went to him on several occasions for advice and left with the tools to address the problem. Thank you for sharing him with us. May the memories that linger be those of joy and laughter.
