Not sure what to say?

Marty was one of the exemplary officers I worked with who expressed virtue and character at work and off duty. He never offended anyone with words and deeds and always showed respect for others. He earned the trust of his subordinates and superiors because he never compromised his honor for anyone. News of Marty's passing was shocking. I missed his unquestionable loyalty at work and I missed him patrolling the neighborhood streets each Halloween as he continued to demonstrate his care for the...

I lived next door to Marty and his family on Bunts rd in Lakewood, as children we played football on the front yard. Great times. We also had a couple of the classes at LHS. My condolences to his family and close friends. I just gained knowledge of passing a few days ago. God bless you Sgt. Marty Stanton. Your Terry.

My deepest sympathys go out to the Stanton family.I just heard of Martys passing. St.Clement memories are endless.

Will miss the fun times

Will always remember the fun times on the weekends in lakewood.

To the Stanton Family, I was sad to hear of Marty's passing. We had so many great times growing up at St Clements. My junior high days are filled with fond memories of Marty and the gang. May God bless the Stanton family. You now have an angel in heaven. Sincerely, Tom Flanagan

To The Stanton Family,
I had the pleasure of working with Sgt. Stanton at the 1st District. He was kind, personable, helpful and great to work with. Many of the Correctional Officers will miss him dearly. All of you will remain in our prayers forever! We will look for his cheerful smile when Our Lord calls us to His Glory!

My sister and I just heard this horrible news. Marty was a good friend and classmate of ours at Lakewood High School. He was a good person; popular, loved and respected by many people. Our deepest sympathies to your family. May you find comfort in your memories of the times you spent with him.

CIndy, Brian, Molly and Brady,
The loss of someone so close is difficult to bear, but know Marty's sense of humor and love for his family will be cherished forever by those who knew and loved him. Continued prayers to your family. Rest in Peace friend, we will miss you dearly.
