To Marty Stein's Family:
You have suffered a great loss; you have my sincere sympathy.
I am the director of Refugee Resettlement for the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay. I first met Marty in the mid-1970's when refugees from southeast Asia began to be resettled throughout Wisconsin. People from agencies involved in the resettlement programs began meeting to coordinate and share information and ideas. Into that forum came Marty filled with enthusiasm, passion for good work and...

Dear Stein Family,
My deepest condolences in the departure of Mr. Stein, I had the privilege of working in one of the optical stores and had the opportunity to meet Mr. Stein. As it was his character he would come and visit the store and see how everyone was doing. His commitment to serving others through his business endeavors and through his giving in the community are an example to follow to others to continue in his memory.

To the Family of Martin Stein:
I first encountered Marty as a customer at his Menomonee Falls Stein Drug Store, many years ago. What a gentle and kind man.

I will always remember him as a real gentleman with a keen sense of business and an attitude toward inclusiveness, justice,...

Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Son John called to alert us of your father's death while we're here in Florida. Your father was a mover and shaker and gave freely of his life to make not only Milwaukee but the world a better place for many good people. He will be greatly missed by many people. May he now rest in peace.

Marty Stein was an inspiration and a leader to all. He has always been a model for me to emmulate. I have tried to follow Marty's example of charitable works and to support the causes he has supported. Marty has truly made the world a better place by everything he did in his life. It is a worthy goal to try to follow in his footsteps.

I worked for Marty at several of his drug stores. He was a wonderful man to work for and I learned alot about customer service. I was always so proud to see his name in the paper and to know I had worked for this man and all he taught me. He touched so many lives. God Bless

To Larry, Dan and all your family: Even a few weeks ago, when last we visited, Marty Stein displayed that same vigor and outward passion for the life of others. With great charm and moral force, he immersed himself in the joys and cares of others. For the decades of our working together in business and community affairs, Marty was the ultimate partner in terms of dedication, selfless enterprise and extraordinary capacity to improve the lives of all with whom he was involved. A real man of...
