Martin was a wonderful man and I enjoyed
all my time with him over the years. His
love for horses was a common bond.

Thinking of you daily and hoping for only the best for Dr. Stiles family and lovely wife, Peggy. We are all greatly saddened by the loss of such a wonderful man.

I worked for Dr. Stiles at the UK Chemistry Department and found him to be most interesting. We shared interests in the field of chemistry and a love for all things horses. He will be known for the Stiles reaction and being the editor of JACS. However I will always remember him for his forward thinking in breeding a better Thoroughbred and his love of his wife's soup.
