Paul and I are deeply saddened by Marty's passing. We were so fortunate to have known him for many years and to spend our winter vacations together in Captiva. Marty was someone I feel so blessed to have known. He was always a warm presence at Captiva. It didn't matter that a year had gone by since our last visit, it always felt comfortable, familiar and easy to be around him. He had a way of making me smile and feel good about myself. I remember so many times when he told me I was smart, special, beautiful and other words of praise. The way he said it, I believed him! It saddens me so much that he was taken from us.
