Not sure what to say?

Coach Pattin was one of my baseball heroes when he was with the Royals, and I was thrilled to have to opportunity to call him "Coach" while I was at KU. Even 30 plus years later, he always stopped to say hi and chat whenever I saw him around town.
To the family, I am sorry for your loss. I am so happy that he found his way to Lawrence, KS.

I really enjoyed talking to Marty with his friends at coffee. Never thought I would be serving such a talented and famous pitcher. He was a great example to my children in little league. He will always be my favorite Royals pitcher. I will be at his funeral in my heart. A pleasure to have met him. I never believed in my dreams that I could ever see him and admire him in person. May God bless his family and may God hold him in his arms closely.

GOD WRAP HIS ARMS AROUND FAMILY AND GRAND CHILDREN,PLUS ALL OF MARTY FRIENDS.MARTY DUCK WAS A GREAT MAN HERE ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN.

My first roomie in the big leagues in KC. My friend, my teammate, and my battery mate. Will always remember the good times on and off the field. You brightened my day every time we were together. So many happy memories and fun stories to recall. We love you Ducky! Rest in Peace my friend. Prayers always for you and all your lovely family.

Marty will always be Hall of Fame in my book. And I don't mean his stellar baseball career.

He was one of my favorite people in my life he was always playing ball with us kids when he was around n always sweet n kind ...thank you Marty...you make a lot of men look small in my eyes

A genuine person. Rest in Peace Marty. My sincere condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear about Marty's passing. I have great memories of playing for Marty at KU and spending time fishing with he and his family at Lake Clinton. He was a bulldog while competing and a gentle man in life. My condolences to his family. He will be missed by many.
