DR. MARVIN ANTONOFF

It took me a decade to get my physics degree and Marvin and I were friends for a lot of that time. He loved my sense of humor and working class background. In Mechanics, I´d call him to see who was doing the lecture. If it wasn´t Marvin, it wasn´t worth going, and he knew that there must be a really good film on or I wouldn´t have bothered him. The guy was the balls, he seems to have been a good husband and dad, he was a brilliant physicist, and he almost lived forever - what´s there to...

Aw, I just came across this, because I was thinking of Dr. Antonoff and what a wonderful professor he was. I had him for three classes, and I truly loved having him as my teacher. He was so kind, smart, and helpful. He would always ask, 'Are you with me?" while writing formulas on the chalkboard. He never talked just to talk, but genuinely cared about his students, and wanted to make sure we were learning. To know him was a blessing.

My sincere condolences to all of Marvin's family. The obituary beautifully captures Marvin as I remember him.
