Not sure what to say?

Marvin and I were cousins. Step-cousins that is. Marv's father Walter was first married to my mother's sister before he married Esther. I was 10 years younger than Marvin, so I only knew him somewhat from afar. I believe his oldest sister and I were true cousins. With my parents and brother we visited their farm in Arlington Heights quite often, I think it was on Oakton St., or perhaps Higgins Rd. (or was it on Algonquin?). His brother Bobby was a year behind me in school. We saw Marvin play...

Marvin was a very special friend to me and my family and friends of Yellow Springs. He will be missed.

Jo and Family: Our deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your husband and father. We met Marvin years ago at The Winds restaurant in Yellow Springs. He became a dear friend with whom we shared many glasses of wine. We always looked forward to getting together with him to discuss the latest NFL scores, and to hear about you, his wonderful family. We, along with you, will miss his presence. May he rest in peace.

I didn't know Marvin well or for long but will definitely miss his presence at the Jay's wine tastings. I will also be forever grateful to him for convincing me to open a bottle of '86 Margaux.

"Marvellous Marvin" was a great friend and mentor to me as a young man growing up in Ohio. He was also a dear friend and kind supporter of our family at a time when we needed good friends. I'm proud to have known and loved him.

We always enjoyed Marv's company. The pig roast was a highlight each year more for the people then for the food. The wine was always good and plentiful too. "Thanks for the memories."

I met Marv while working at Oesterlen. I was always impressed with his kind, gentle, and caring nature whether he was interacting with staff, other board members or the kids. He could put a smile on anyone's face and had a way of making everyone feel comfortable around him.

Rest eternal grant him, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon him.

I remember when Marv and Martha Jo got married - I was 10 years old and I thought Jo was so lucky to bring this big handsome football star home from California - Martha Jo and her Mom and Dad lived next door to my family when Jo was single - She was one of my Mom's very good friends and was over to my house alot when I was young. I remember Marv was so friendly and he was always so nice to me - I was just this dumb little kid and he always took the time to talk to me - I baby-sat all of...
