Not sure what to say?

Just found out. Sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Cherner and that the girls never had a chance to meet him. We will miss him.

I am so sad that I just discovered Judge's death via the Alabama Lawyer Magazine. I loved working for him in 1991 and 1992. He was a brilliant, funny, sweet gentleman.

I am sorry for your loss Nancy . You told wonderful tales of both your parents and so your words will keep their spirit alive with those who didn't have the opportunity to meet them . You honored your parents when they were here amongst us and now they leave many with wonderful memories. Peace always. Fay Zinger

Just found out. What a great man. He will be missed!

Judge Cherner will be truly missed by all of us at southview medical. we truly loved him with all our hearts Desi Judge.

Judge Cherner was truly a scholar of the law who was dedicated to excellence in his decisions. I have a heavy heart knowing that he is no longer with us. He was always a kind and caring jurist who was able to understand complex issues thoroughly, in order to make them straightforward for others.

My deepest sympathies to Mr. Cherner's loved ones. I was so sad to hear about the passing of one of the nicest patrons who ever came into the downtown Birmingham Public Library. I helped Mr. Cherner for years find the books he loved to read—mostly historical nonfiction—and he always made my day with his smile and sweet disposition. He will be missed by so many.

Sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I enjoyed getting to know Mr. Cherner. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Marvin was a great guy. I will always remember his kindness, his sense of humor and how he loved the Braves.
