Not sure what to say?

I RECEIVED THE NOTICE OF MARVIN'S PASSING AFTER RETURNING FROM THE SKELLY RETIREES GOLF TOURNAMENT IN TULSA ON JUNE 29TH. MARVINS NAME CAME UP DURING THE SOCIAL HOUR AS HE USED TO PLAY IN IT. I WAS SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING. HE WAS A GOOD PERSON.

Marvin and Pauline were such fun to be with, we bowled with them in Overland Park before transferring with Skelly to Tulsa in 1972. I believe my husband bowled with Marvin in Tulsa as well. The last time I visited with Marvin was in K.C. at the Skelly Mktg. reunion. His eyesight was not as good but he was as sharp as ever and enjoyed showing off the Skelly exhibit at Union Station. We send our condolences to James and David, both of which he enjoyed talking about...

Marvin was a good man! Although I had not seen him in many years, he always kept in touch with my parents, who lived down the street from him and Pauline in Butler. My parents enjoyed that a lot. My condolences to his two sons, James and David. Selby O'Rear

Deepest sympathies on the loss of your father.

He later moved to Missouri where he opened a gris mill with his brother. The two had a falling out and he opened another mill at Pleasant Gap.

Then there were the stories about old man Skelley.....
