It was a blessing to know my Grandpa.
Gramps, and Joe knew the situation us kids were in. He also knew it was not our faults if we could not be a part of our big family.
The kids: Ron, Leaha, Allen, Carolyn,Larita,Francis,Colt. He loved us dearly, and I loved him. He was a friend I could turn to on a dime if needed. It was always a pleasure to talk with him, and understand what happened, just share whatever was on our minds.

Marv was a great friend and business associate for many years. We enjoyed many hours at the bowling alley and bowling tournaments together, and shared fond vacation memories. He will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jo.

You know, one of my fondest memories of Grandpa was when I first met him, (I was adopted and didn't know my biological family yet). The church, Mt. Carmel Baptist, had set up a youth group nite at Ehler Lanes. I know, he knew who I was, but I didn't realize it at the time. He didn't charge me for that event and I couldn't figure out why. I thought what a nice man to make me feel special like that. I remember talking a little to him, but don't really remember now about what....
