Marvin Goldberg

On hearing the B-17s flying overhead as BBC reported the activities in northern France today, i thought about Marv and Betty. Alas! Marv's obituary popped up in the search.

My sons, Mike and Ted Malveaux, join me in sending our deepest sympathies to Betty, Bob, Janet, Sherry, and all who grieve for Marv.

I knew Marv as a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol, flying as his observer on several occasions. My sons were only two of the many cadets who flew with him on Orientation Flights....

Uncle marv, he was a gentleman, a vetran and i will miss him. I still remember when i first met him in 1982 in a crowded room. He was kind to this alien, friendly and made sure that i knew that he was truly glad to meet him. Over the years, we met again several times and each time he welcomed me as a part of the famiy, which i was by then. He took me up on his plane, with my kids, and it was a blast. A kind, smiling soul, i will miss him. To aunt bettie and his kids and grand kids and all...
