Not sure what to say?

Dear Family. I was Marv's daughter in law (Mark) for over 26 years and I have always respected Marv as he was a good Christian, Father and Husband as well as a role model and substitute father to Jason and Michelle during their early years. My sympathy and prayers to the family, he will be missed.

We will really miss our dear brother-in-law, Marvin. He was a very special person to us as well as the entire family. Our prayers and thoughts are with Margaret and the family. We love you all. Aunt Betty and Uncle Dick of Dallas, Texas.

Guthaus Family: I was a secretary for Marv at The Upjohn Company in the MSL unit. What a patient man he was. He was always quiet, never got angry, and I learned so much from him. He taught me how to search the computer for medical information. He will surely be missed.

To Marv's family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. As a naive 19-yr-old just entering the workforce at The Upjohn Co. in 1973, Marv was my first boss. I was so blessed to have such a patient, kind, respectful person to work for as I learned about corporate life in the Medical Dept. at Upjohn. He gave me quite a fright that first week - I walked into his office to find him lying on the floor - out cold. I ran out not knowing what to do, and discovered from others that it was...

Dear Guthaus family,
Marv was my boss during several years in the 70s, before I moved to Arizona. He was such a nice man for whom to work, and he had such a commendable work ethic. He was kind, patient and polite to everyone with whom he came in contact and always had such an optimistic view of people and the world. After reading his obituary, I feel I know him much better than I did then, and wish I had known some of the special things he had done before working at Upjohn.

Michelle: I'm so sorry for your loss! Although both my grandfathers passed away before I was born, know that grandpa Clark was very special to my family, as was Bud to our grandkids. Sure you'll miss him, but have lots of good memories. According to his obituary he was a special person!

Dear Guthaus family:
I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Marvin. I always respected him and the whole family and am sorry to hear of this. Please accept my sympathy.
Mark

Marv was my boss for several years in the Agricultural Division @ Upjohn. It has been many years now but I recall his gentle spirit and the calmness he would bring to any situation. Once I messed up a project, switching important numbers around and so much more.....and as I sat in his office crying and sobbing, he ended up comforting me and confirming that I was a good person in God's eyes and this was just a speed bump! HE made ME feel better about messing up a huge project!! I will...
