I always remember Marv for his kindness and patience during the days when he helped a young hired man learn the rigors of farming, from making hay, learning to make an angled waterway with a trip plow, to helping a cow give birth to her newborn calf. He always mentored me with never a harsh word but his usual smile. He enjoyed giving an exciting ride over and across the farm fields filled with snow, and he was never too busy to stop and say hello. He was truly a Christian who lived his...
