Read MoreI was saddened to hear of Marv's passing. Some of my fondest memories growing up were of listening to Marv do the Ohio State games on fall afternoons. I can still hear his call of Mike Lantry's missed kick in THE GAME in 1974 - "a good pass from center, it is set down, the kick is high, it has the distance, it is.........It is not good, he missed it. It is no good!!!" Rest in peace, Marv.

tarted following OSU sports during the Lucas-Havlicek era. Spent many a night with my transistor radio hidden under my pillow listening to Marv Homan calling the Buckeye games. OSU has had some great announcers over the years but none close to Marv Homan. Always got excited by when I heard him say "FROM ST. JOHN ARENA"
