It was obvious the 8 Mendelson cousins and their spouses had deep love for one another as well as a beautiful friendship spanning 9 decades. For the last 20 years or so when I would drive my mother to the Chicago suburbs to see the cousins Marvin and I would often sit off in a corner, as we had our own "Cousins Club meeting". We always had many things to talk about. Marvin would often tell me about funny things that happened in their younger years to my mother or to my aunt (Shirley Levitt...

Jerry and I send our condolences to all of you. I have fond memories of the times Cousin Marvin spent with our family. I remember when I was a young child he sent me a "yard of candy." I was a box of candy 36 inches long and I believe a yard stick came with it. It must have been an impresive gift because I have never forgotten it.
