Poppop, i was sitting here on duty thinking about leaving for our patrol (the things i have to pack, our equipment that dosent work, equipment that we still have to fix, and people that i had to say goodbye to). You were one of these people that i had to talk to before i left, but than i remembered that i didnt have to say goodbye because i know that we will be closer on this patrol than any other that i have gone on. VERN,THE FIRST WEEKEND OF OCT WAS PACKED WITH SPORTS.MARYLAND FINALLY WON A HOME GAME BEATING VIRGINIA 45-33.THE ASTROS,REDSOX AND YANKESS MADE THE PLAYOFFS.THE NATS FINISHED THEIR FIRST SEASON 81-81.THE TIGERS FIRED ALAN TRAMMEL.THE SKINS BEAT THE SEAHAWKS 20-17 IN OVERTIME.THIS IS THEIR BEST START SINCE 1991,3-0.DALE JARRETT FINALLY WON A RACE IN 98 TRIES,AT TALLADEGA.WHAT A WEEKEND!PS AND HUNTING SEASON IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER

I am so glad that I got to know you and actually witness the way that you could light up a room. I am sure you are riding the roads in Browntown heaven. You will be greatly missed and will live on in our hearts forever. I am so proud to be a part of your wonderful family!
