Marvin was a great educational colleague and friend for more than 35 years. His work with the Close up Foundation leaves a strong legacy in civic education. We send much love to Selma and his family.

It was with a very heavy heart that I heard that Marvin had passed away. He was my mentor and a hero to me. When I taught class or later filled the role of Social Studies Department chairperson at SDHS I always thought, "How would Marvin do this?", because he was the epitome of a educator in my eyes. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Marvin will be missed by all that knew him. His smile when meeting a friend was always welcome. The Democratic Clubs have lost a true friend and participant. You could always count on him.
