Marvin Troester age 77, of Tomahawk, WI, formerly of Park Forest, IL, passed away October 4, 2013 at the home of his son. Marvin is survived by his loving wife Nancy (nee Cooper.) His loving children Gregg (Lee Ellen), Richard & Robert (Lynn) Troester and his daughter Christine Burke. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and his sisters Donna (Glen) Sons, Beverly Schroeder and his brother Mark Troester. Visitation for Marvin will be held at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.

I will always remember your dad as the silent partner in what were some of the most cherished times of all our lives. While Ma T doled out so much love to all us neighborhood kids as though we were hers too, Marvelous Marv, in his quiet way, always gave us free pass to his beautiful cottage on the lake.
