Not sure what to say?

Way back in 1975, I had the privilege of meeting Marvin Zindler during one of his dirty restaurant report visits at Jeff Davis High School. Thanks to Mr. Zindler, almost nobody wanted to eat in the cafeteria, so I had the entire cafeteria to myself for a week. I will always appreciate our first visit and not having to wait long in line for food all because of him. To all of his family, he was a great man (not just for the faster food). And to this day, Channel 13 is still the only station I...

I moved to Houston in 1983 and came to know Mr. Zindler via television. He became a big part of my families life as they grew and spread around the country, they would comment "What is Marvin up to now?" or "What restaurant is on the hot seat this week?" He was 'eyewitness news' greatest fellow. I will miss him dearly, as does my family!

Marvin you will truely be missed by the martinez family we will always miss your famous words like "SLIM IN THE ICE MACHINE or THE BIG BIG S". Once again you will be missed and we love you always.

WE WILL MISS YOU MARVIN ZINDLER, YOU WERE A WONDERFUL PERSON. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE !

We will miss you Marvin. My late uncle Ben O'Brien Jr. worked with you at the sheriffs office and said before he passed away it was a pleasure to work with you.

Marvin was a true angel. My first apartment, the air went out my child got real bad heat all over her body and the apartment personnel didn't care I wrote Marvin and right away the problem was taken care of. We the poor people will never have anyone else to look out for us again. I loved the man even though I never met him personally. My heart and prayers goes out to his wife and children. love mrs. grant

I'm 19 yrs. old and I grew up watching Marvin Zindler. There has never been a day that I can remember Marvin NOT being on t.v. He did "Slime in the Ice Machine" and most recent "Marvin's Angels." He was always around to help the less fortunate. We need more people like that in this world. He will be missed.

His death came as a shock.

I didn't know he was sick.

No one can replace him -- but I wonder who will succeed him. Houston still needs a "Git-R-Done" public gadfly to keep people honest.
