Janice was the glue that kept the SHS Class of 1953 together. We owe her a lot for all she did to maintain that bond. My sympathy to her family. What a loss!

To Janice!s family, May the Grace of God be there so close with you during your loss of a Mother and family member. Janice was a dear friend of mine. We went to school together. She will be missed at our class gatherings. May God ever bless her memory. Love, Betty McCollum

I am saddened by the loss of a great friend I first met at TVA. After her TVA retirement and then subsequent retirement (again!) from Jim Bishop Chevrolet, I saw her very infrequently. However, she was one of those friends who never became a stranger. Every time we spoke, it was just like we saw each other the day before. Gene Ann and Mary Jane, please accept my sincere condolences. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Now she can see her Gene again.

Dear Gene Ann and Mary Jane,

May God bless all of you at this time. Janice's passing brings a flood of memories to me. Really GOOD memories. I can't recall when the Abernathy family and the Wade family weren't sort of joined at the hip. You were all part of my life growing up and wouldn't have had it any other way. I never knew a more outgoing vivacious woman than Janice...she was a joy to be around. We will miss her dearly.

I am so sorry to learn about Janice! She was such a great friend and Gene, Wayne and she and I had so much fun during our teenage years and later. My heart breaks for each of you. May God sustain you as you grieve the loss of your wonderful Mother.
