ACKERLEY, Mary C. (O'Connell) - Of Somerville July 25, 2021. Beloved wife of the late George E. Ackerley. Loving mother of James Ackerley and his wife Debbie of Watertown, Nancy Shea of Medford and her late husband Wayne Shea, Robert Ackerley and his wife Anne Marie of York, ME. Sister of James O'Connell, Kathleen Difazio and the late Daniel O'Connell. Dear grandmother of James Jr., Kerri, Michael, Kevin, Ryan and Samantha. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren. Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Tuesday morning at 10:30, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, Somerville at 11:00. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Tuesday morning 8:30-10:30. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 N Main St Ste 104, Natick, MA 01760. Mary was a very active member of St. Clement Parish, Mary was involved in and devoted to the Catholic Daughters,  the Mother's Club and the CCD program. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she will be greatly missed by all.
