When I was young and visiting Omaha, you were always so much fun, and as I aged, you always took an interest in how I was doing and reaching out to stay in touch although we were states away. You had such great energy and always a smiling face and a kind word. I will always remember you, that smile and energy. Your voice also reminded me of Grandma, which was wonderful. You will be missed.

M.C. We go back 74 years of friendship which the internet brought back. I will miss your calls, your letters and e mails. Thanks to Walt and Julie for making that happen. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Ahrens and to my childhood friends the Tillotsons. Mary Catherine kept me in news and pictures of all of you. She was very special. Mommy (aka Big lil Sis MC) would call me and say:

Oh, Hi...it's just MC...nothing important...just calling to say Hi!

Well, I am missing Her call's now...I wish I could call Her back and say...Oh, Hi...it's just your Baby Girl... Love you...MC!

La Baby, La lil Sister and La Auntie to the family...

God bless and ease your mourning...put your trust in Jesus...He will help you through... as MC would say...
I pray the Blood of Jesus be upon all of us to comfort us and give us peace and mercy! Amen!

A little bit of Coffee and a whole lot of Jesus

Mommy, Mommy...I want my Mommy...
This is what my Big lil Sister and I had fun with!
MC was 6 yrs old when I was born...she thought I was Her Baby...she was so sure...and would fight with our Dad that I was Her Baby! Fuss and fight to hold and Feed Me. She didn't like it when our Dad wanted to hold and feed me.
So we use to kid each other in the last few years and laugh about this.
I would call her and say...Mommy, Mommy I want my Mommy...and She would call me and say...Baby, Baby...I want my Baby Girl...and then we would laugh, and laugh...
We also would talk to about the Gospel that was read at Mass on Sunday and She could quote Scripture like everything...Oh, she would say, that is Luke, or John or whatever...but she new the words...Beautiful...
We really got very close in the last couple of years and share a lot of really beautiful times together!
We shared a lot of very spiritual times together. We would talk 3 or 4 times a week sometimes.

Now the absence and silence has set in...I miss our talks and her calls and my calls to her! It was a very special time we shared!

I know she is now looking down from up above and we still have a spiritual connection.
The good news is that we will all be together again...that is our promise if we believe in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!
My sincere Condolences to my Brother In Law...Walt...and to all the Family!

May Her Soul and all the Souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace,
Amen!
P.S. As I said we shared many things together...I told her that I went down to 7/11 every morning to get my coffee and then on the way back I would pray to Jesus...So the next thing I knew I got this present in the mail...and it was a T Shirt that read...
"All I need is a little bit of Coffee and a Whole Lot Of Jesus"...the same T Shirt she was wearing in the Care Center. How special!!!

Her Heart was Huge...for all...even the Stranger...She was on big love!
"I will never forget you!" Love you my, "Big...little...Sister"!

Pray for me now, that I may enter the narrow Gate!!! Amen!

To our little sister Mary:
Goodbye is not forever
When you lived your life for others
And you loved without condition
When you made so many laugh
And your smile won't be forgotten
When you left behind an empty place
That no one else will fill
The footprints that you left behind
Will bring us face to face someday
So, goodbye is not forever,
You will be loved in our hearts forever

Grandma I have so many fond memories of our time together. Thank you for always thinking of us; somehow you'd always remember to send a card for every holiday and birthday. That seems like such an easy thing to do, but I fail misserably at it! You never forgot! I miss you and love you! Xoxoxo
