Not sure what to say?

I will miss my Aunt Betty. There was never a birthday forgotten or memory lost. I will miss having lunch together and then going back to her house for homemade dessert. She will forever be in my heart and close to my dreams--for Aunt Betty made the quilt that I cannot sleep without.

Betty was always our inspiration to actually play bunco! She said,"we have to keep it legal," and play! She won't ever be replaced. What a gift she was to us!

Betty was a dear friend to me. At Methodist, she was "the" mentor to many of us. We all witnessed her caring spirit. Her wit and charm were unmatched. She loved life and life loved her. Our friendship carried on after nursing. She was a member of my BUNCO group. We will always remember some of the evenings filled with uncontrolable laughter. I will miss her very much. Those who knew her cherished her friendship. My son will miss her and her cookies!!

I met Betty through our Bunko club. She always had a ready smile and a good joke and made everyone laugh. She and my mom, Betty Thompson, became really good friends..running buddies. Always on the road going to movies, card games..oh how she loved those cards! She would play all night till everyone fell asleep at the table. As sad as her passing is to me, I have inner peace with it because there are not many people who virtually have no ailments, aren't on medication, and can enjoy life and...

We were so sorry to learn of Betty's death. I have known Betty most of my life and she was always a very special friend to our family. She was always there for every crisis in our life. My mother and Betty met when Gayle and I were about five years old and were taking dancing lessons together. Our mothers became close friends, a friendship that lasted a lifetime. I talked to Betty about a week before she went into the hospital and I sensed then that she was telling me goodbye for the...

Betty had a gift for putting people at ease. She was always down to earth and honest and always had time for you. We couldn't bear to allow her to retire at age 65, so she agreed to stay part time till Labor and Delivery closed. We were so blessed to have her guidance and share her special laughter - I can still hear it in my mind. Thanks for keeping in touch all these years. We all miss you and love you. Kathy Stevens

SAILING ON MY SAILBOAT NIRVANA OFF OCRACOKE IS. NC

Betty and I became friends when she came to work at MEH in L&D. Even when I moved to NC we visited and stayed in touch. We shared so many good times and some sad times. I will never forget how she opened her home to my daughter, Regan, and me when Barry died. Betty will always be remembered for her big heart and wonderful smile. Her family and friends will miss her ,but we are so fortunate to have so many fond memories of this truly genuine, unique woman to treasure for a lifetime.
