Not sure what to say?

I used to write little poems to Mary thanking her for giving birth to my best friend and soul mate,(Kathy). She seemed to enjoy them. She at least got a kick out of them.
Mary was pretty cool. She drove me crazy from time to time, but she was cool and I loved her. She was the only real mom I ever had and she was mine for 33 years. I will miss her greatly.

The memorial Garden is ready for visitors anytime anyone has a minute to stop by. I found a beautiful Blue patterned urn for her ashes, a nice clear plastic square container to protect it, and a Red Granite memorial stone rests over it to mark the site. I planted her favorite bulb flowers (freesia-very fragrant) around the back 3 sides and placed hexagon stepping stones up to it surrounded by a scattering of white rock. Her concrete deer and fawn flank each side as well as birds and...

It's been difficult at times to remember that Grandma is no longer with us here. It's been a whole month now and I miss her so much. Curtis and I have taken to doing the crossword puzzles together in her honor. I have read the paper more since Grandma passed than I ever did before. I always scan the obituaries because that was Grandmas routine. I have been enjoying drinking my coffee from her favorite coffee cups and admiring those treasures I got from her. When I was a little girl I remember...

I remembered something that you might not have known about Mary. When she lived at Lake Bosworth, she took a job cleaning house for a neighbor of ours (Jodene) and Mary asked me to share the job with her. With both of us working, it was a four hour job, both deep and light cleaning once a week. Mary made sure each week when we left the house that there was not a speck of dust anywhere, not a footprint on the rug that hadnt been raked smooth, not a waterspot on the shower. It always took us at...

She was a determined and hard working woman. She held several hard labor jobs over the course of her life. Her motto was: "A hard days work for a good days pay." She cleaned smoke damaged houses, coming home all sooty. She worked a few Nursing homes where she had to lift elderly patients and clean up body functions, also dealt with the death of many who became her favorite patients.
She worked in assembly line work at a pull-tab company, and a machine shop manufacturing aircraft parts....

We would like to thank everyone who came to forrest glade to tell us of the way they remembered mom and how she touched their life. Kathy and I would like to thank the ladies of forrest glade for the goodies they left for us. We would especially like to thank Grace and Don for helping to organize and clean up after the gathering. We appreciate their help thru an especially hard time. Mom would have enjoyed being there herself to see all who showed up of her dear friends and relatives.

I will miss G.G. She took me in as a grandchild of her own from day one of meeting her. She reminded me of my own Grandmother and I always felt happy being with her. I was always amazed with the BIG puzzle's that she did. She will always hold a very special place in my heart. We miss you and love you very much G.G.

Mary was always so happy.
her kids were her life!

Thank all of you for coming. We had a very nice turnout and people kept coming right up to the last few minutes of our time. There were some sweet sentiments spoken by everyone and alot of surprise guests that made it all very special indeed. Many people we hadn't seen in years. Our efforts were applauded,to our delight, and we hope to see many of you again at Tom Stribling's gathering of friends and relatives in a few weeks. Thank you again for your support.
