Mary Ann Barrett

MaryAnn was such a wonderful friend, great organizer of us friends. We met at Bryn Mawr , we shared many happy memories, from our geology field trips , hiking on the Appalachian Trail, camping at Lake George, letting me use her typewriter at college-( just watching how slowly I typed, as this Was not done in my high school ) to our last trip to Ithaca to visit Theresa and Wayne's, less than a year ago. I cherish these memories .

I've known Mary Ann since she was 11 and I was ... well, 0! She lived down the street and was my baby sitter. We've seen each other nearly every year since. She was a very important part of my life and I will never forget our times together hiking, talking, looking at photos, and laughing. She was a truly remarkable person and friend.
