Mary Bartels-Greenlee

Mary was the baby, not supposed to go first. She had just become a grandma. Her siblings always viewed her as the one most in need of our support. Until we realized in her absence just how damn strong she had been the whole time.

I grew up with Mary, in Buffalo. Knew her whole family, they lived three doors down from my Grandma Huff. Mary was an incredible person. Our group hung out all the time, usually in my basement!, going to movies, roller skating in Sheridan, going on speech meets, dragging Main, going to things up at school or being involved with plays or choir. We were a close-knit group and we cared a great deal for one another. Mary was a beautiful soul who loved being around all her friends and family, and...

I worked for several years with Mary and loved my time with her. She was passionate and dedicated to her work. She loved her children to the end of the universe and back and was a beautiful soul.

You don't know me and I didn't know Mary, but this came up today in my Google news alerts, and I decided to read the story. I just want you to know that I was deeply touched by her devotion to her sister, seniors, and pets. I am so sorry for your loss, especially to this horrible pandemic.
