Not sure what to say?

At Hawley Jr. High, Miss Benoit taught literature and introduced Steinbeck to our 8th grade class in 1970. After all these years, I still remember her holding the small paperback at the front of the room as she read to us. She had a gentle soul with a teaching spirit. I felt so much joy in that room. To all of those she left behind, God bless you and cherish your memories.

I have joyful memories of "Ms. Benoit" as my teacher at Hawley Junior High in 1978-1979. Ms. Benoit had a gentle energy and was a joy to have had as an educator. She will be missed.

I gratefully recall "Miss Benoit" as my Humanities teacher, and her introductions to classical music, at Hawley Jr. High, in 1975. May her memory be a blessing.

Oh we were such good Elms College buddies Mary. Your ABSOLUTELY amazing voice added such beauty to every concert at school and a truly special touch to my daughter Kim's wedding. Rest in the arms of Our Lord now dear friend, you are missed!

On behalf of the RI Elms College alumni association I'd like to offer my condolences on the loss of Mary Ellen. We were both members of the class of 1965 so I knew Mary Ellen and she attended many alumni events over the many years since we graduated. She was a gem with a beautiful singing voice. Heaven has gained another angel. Rest in peace dear girl. Your work is done.

John I am so sorry to hear about Mary may she rest in peace. We will keep the candle going in her memory

Mary was a sweet person. I knew her at Lathrop Home . Rest in peace Mary.

I knew Mary from when I was a student, and later in my life as an adult. She always impressed me with the way she embodied the kindness and charity which were so much a part of her faith. I´m sorry for her family´s and the community´s loss.
