I am so sorry to hear this news about Mary. I worked with John at GM and was also a "skating" friend. Mary and I would meet for lunch and solve all the world's problems and have lots of laughs. She was such a bright spot in the world - very interested in everything and very knowledgeable. Loved music and art and promoted the arts every chance she had, especially exposing young people to the arts.
