I was very happy to see Mary at our Feb.Garden Club meeting. I had the opportunity to speak to her that day. As always she had a smile on her face.
I wish to thank Tim for being so kind to his grandmother. She will be missed by all.

I met Mary at the Lake Forest Park Garden Club and it is through that organization that I have known her. When I first met her she was in her eighties and still actively engaged in her profession. She “complained” that the work on the third revision of her textbook was not going as fast as she would like. That third edition of Mathematical Methods in the Physical Sciences was finished, published in 2004, and is currently in use in universities across the US. It is available on Amazon.com,...
