MARY BOWLING Obituary


MARY A. BOWLING  
Suddenly on Friday, February 1, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Mary A. Bowling went to be with our Lord. Mary was born September 13, 1944 in Cheverly, MD to Thomas W. Scott, Jr., and Agnes R. McGee Scott. She was one of 11 children born to them. She married the love of her life George C. Bowling, Jr. on October 3, 1964 at St. James Catholic Church, Mt. Rainier, MD. In 1976 they moved to St. Mary's County, Maryland where she lived until her passing. She was an avid Orioles, Colts and Notre Dame fan. She loved reading, gardening, crocheting, and her grandchildren. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mechanicsville, MD. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Scott Bowling, her husband; her parents; and siblings George C. Scott, Margaret Whalon and Cathy Patterson. She is survived by her children Janice M. Bowling Carbaugh, George C. Bowling, III, her three grandchildren Cody Michael, Kylie Renee and Kari Morgan Carbaugh and the rest of her siblings. Memorial contributions may be made to Franciscan Monastery, St. Anthony's Bread for the Poor and Children's Hospital. She requests no flowers. Visitation will be held at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Rd., Brentwood, MD on Friday, February 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, February 9, at 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
