Mary Jean was such a sweet and wonderful soul. She always treated me with kindness while we worked at the GSC. May she continue to rest.

Rest in peace, Mary Jean. You've lived a very full life and earned your place in Heaven. Thank you for being a great friend and co-worker during my Gulf South Conference days. I will forever enjoy our talks and your kind heart. Prayers to Jeanie, Betsy, Cindy and the rest of your family during this time. Say hello to Ray for me. You are both missed.

I will hold dear all my life the memories we made in bygone years. I tried calling the last number I had several times to no avail. I'm saddened to hear this news. We used to talk pretty often. She and Ray were lifelong friends Sadie and Bill Abel, our parents and in-laws. I (Barbara) was always so happy to hear from Mary Jean after Bill died. Please contact us. 205-655-1321.

Dearest Dr. Box-Cook, Sending you my love and praying for you and your family. May the Lord comfort you all and may you find solace in warm memories of your sweet mother.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Box family and friends in this time of bereavement. May you find peace in God during this difficult time.

What a fitting description of an amazing woman. Mary Jean Box was a delightful second Mom to so many of us "girls ". I´ll never forget her funny stories , laughter, and deep love for family and friends.
