Mary Elizabeth Branch

Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Branch, 72, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville, NC. She was born to the late Alton and Ila Mae Caulk of Fairmont, NC on March 8, 1951.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jen Atkinson of Orrum, NC and Marilyn Hughes of Fairmont, NC; and a nephew, Will Leggett of Fairmont, NC.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Cary Branch of Lumberton, NC; two daughters, Mackenzie Branch Pait (Steven) of Thomasville, NC and Leslie Branch Britt (Jeff) of Lumberton, NC; 3 grandchildren, Emma Laine Pait of Thomasville, NC, and Noah Chuck Britt & Charlie Elizabeth Britt, both of Lumberton, NC; a sister-in-law Claudia Cook (Larry) of Lumberton, NC; special friends, Greg & Juanita Pait, and Linda Hester, all of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Kenny Caulk of Franklinton, NC; two sisters, Ruby Kempf (Chuck) and Nell Leggett (Jerry) both of Fairmont, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Floyd Memory Gardens on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Mike Bowen will be officiating.
