My heart goes out to my cousin Randy and his family and my cousin Wayne’s family on the loss of their beloved Mary Vicie Brooks. Aunt Vicie was one of my favorite aunts and was the last to go. I remember coming to her store as a child in elementary school in the 40’s. It was a safe haven for my brother and I. Aunt Vicie always had a Double Cola and a Moon Pie or other treats for us and it was always shared with lots of love and hugs. After we left Huntsville and I would come back home from...

Mary Vicie Brooks was a dear lady who touched many people during her life. She was a shining star whose aura lives on in all who knew and loved her. I admired her very much. My condolences to all the family members and friends....all my neighbors (The Bices, Marie, and June) and myself, have fond memories of her scurrying around, laughing, hugging and kissing.
I was glad to see this online book in that I usually drive in to sign the books but could not get off work to do so. My contribution is to share a picture I took of her when I helped her get dressed for her 2010 Christmas party with Carolyn and her children, Sue, and others.
