own dear mother?

songs my mother taught me
from an ancient book
the piano mama brought me
sometimes she doesn't look
at the piano keys
now her hands have arthritis
she taught me in a freeze
when winter snow would white us
the 5th nocturne
was mother's and my favorite
from mother i would learn
now i often savor it
tunes and elegies
my mother used to know
on the aging piano...
