CALMES, Mary Ann 90, joined her loving husband, Bob, December 3, 2016. A longtime Tucsonian, Mary Ann taught biology/chemistry at Rincon HS. She and Bob were active members of Skyline CC, loved travel, summers in Colorado and entertaining. She was a proud and active Johns Hopkins Univ. alumnus....

Mary Ann Calmes was my biology teacher at Rincon High School. She was the reason I became a high school biology teacher myself...in fact, we were both hired by our Principal, Hank Slagle. Thank you so much, Mary, for touching and defining my life. May you Rest In Peace. You will be missed.

Mrs.Calmes was my absolute favorite teacher at Rincon. Have recalled my year in her Biology class many times over the years. She was a lovely and gracious lady; a true class act. May she Rest in Peace.
